Survivors Rescued After Deadly Avalanche In Italy

These people were rescued after being trapped in an avalanche for almost a day in Farindola, Italy. A series of earthquakes in Italy caused a massive avalanche burying a luxury hotel at the foot of the Gran Sasso mountain. Eight survivors have been found, but at least four people have been confirmed dead and around 20 people are still missing. Rescue efforts have been slow due to the hotel's isolated location. Help finally arrived a day after the deadly avalanche. Rescuers traveled more than five miles on skis and snowshoes to reach the hotel. The search for the remaining guests continues.
