These Shoes Are Made Out Of Water Bottles

These shoes are made from plastic water bottles and only takes six minutes to make. They are anti microbial, machine washable, breathable and they are also recyclable at the end of their lives. Two entrepreneurs spent years researching the sustainable idea. From that research, Rothy's shoes was born. PET water bottles are purchased fro recycling centers. The caps and the bottles are then put through grinders, they are chipped into little flakes, and they are pushed through an extruder, those tiny fibers are then combined together with air pressure. So it's a soft 100% fiber made from water bottles. They use computer code and a 3D knitting machine to create the flats. The brand wants to lead a sustainable example. Comfort can be beautiful and historically, green products aren't very fashionable. Hope that we can lead by example that we will make better choices in the future. By buying products like Rothy's, we are helping solve problems to the environment. So recycle those plastic water bottles you may end up wearing them.
