Narcotics police lit more than 90 tons of drugs and alcohol on fire in Afghanistan


This is above 9o tons of drugs and alcohol. It was seized by Afghan authorities and set ablaze. "No criminals, no drug smugglers can escape from the Afghan anti-drug police and other security forces", said the Deputy Interior Ministry Counter-Narcotics, General Baz Mohammad Ahmadi. Drugs & alcohol are illegal in the Muslim country. Yet Afghanistan is one of the largest cultivators of opium. The country battles with drug addiction among kids as young as 4 years old. A consequence of poverty from three decades of war. There are over 3 million drug users in Afghanistan.
