These men of Philippines were nailed to crosses as a part of a tradition in the Pampang of Philippines. At least nine men had their hands and feet hammered into crosses by actors dressed as Roman soldiers. The nails were about two inches and soaked in alcohol first. It was a pretty wild and emotional kind of thing to watch and experience during the occasion. The voluntary crucifixion only lasted a few minutes and doctors were on site. People in rural areas reportedly perform the ritual as a way of atoning for their sins. The catholic church says the ritual is a 'Misinterpretation of Faith'.
