This pear is shaped like Trumph. It was made using a fruit mold which creates crazy shaped fruits and veggies like heart shaped watermelon, skeleton pumpkins and square apples. Growers put one of the molds around the stem and let it grow. The fruit or vegetable naturally takes the mold's shape and retains it once the mold is removed. The molds are made by Chinese company Fruit Mould Co. They offer customized molds on their website like a Donald Trump pumpkin head. The company also sells other odd fruit accessories like sexy peach underwear. Luxury produce is a big business in Japan and China. Growers spend years cultivating fruits with odd shapes and sizes. Some designer watermelons can cost over $25k each and strawberries the size of tennis balls go for $4,490 each. Bunches of ping pong ball sized grapes sell for almost $900 a bunch.
