A massive new study made some interesting discoveries about weed

Scientists say there is no evidence that smoking weed gives you lung cancer. A group of researchers may have completed the ultimate weed study and they found a lot of benefits with the plant. A massive new scientific report compiled 17 years of weed research analyzing over 10,000 studies on marijuana dating back to 1999 to try and finally determine the risks and benefits associated with weed. Their findings were varied and wide ranging. For example, weed was found to be very helpful for patients with chronic pain and is shown to reduce nausea and vomiting in cancer patients. They found no risk of developing smoking related cancers. But weed could contribute to chronic bronchitis and asthma attacks and might even leave smokers susceptible to heart attacks. As for the gate way, drug theory evidence is thin. But young smokers could struggle with dependence or deal with addiction to drugs like tobacco or alcohol later in life. However, all of these conclusions come with caveats and the researchers were quick to note that marijuana research is stifled due to legal restrictions around it's scheduling. Loosening weed laws will only make future surveys more accurate.
