Ikea created homes for refugees that can be built in just four hours

Ikea is making homes for refuges. 'Better Shelter' fits into two boxes, accommodates up to 5 people and can be assembled in 4 hours. These homes are a change from the canvas tents usually used to house refugees. They are built from a sturdier material that can handle rainfall and flood. The roof is high enough for a tall man to stand. They are equipped with windows for ventilation and also has a solar panel on the roof which charges an LED light and power appliances. The layout can be reorganized to fit any location or need. 'Better Shelter' is currently being used in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
